The primary purpose of this role is to deliver high value advisory consulting services that enable clients to achieve optimized ROI on Allscripts solutions and enable clinical processes that help improve patient care delivery.
Responsibilities
General Business Requirements:
- Liaise with clients to transform the delivery of healthcare, maximize the return on investment and align operational goals with organizational strategies through the use of Allscripts solutions
- Empower clients beyond basic solution usage to become strategic partners maximizing Allscripts solutions and services to achieve organizational objectives
- Identify client barriers to success and provide strategic and operational methods of mitigation
Service Delivery:
- Understand and manage project scope to identify and mitigate implementation risks and impacts
- Deliver advice, guidance and recommendations on system configuration and implementation best practice
- Identify, analyze, and document client business requirements
- Use domain and application expertise to recommend best practices and provide guidance to influence clients in adoption of recommended solutions for their business needs
- Identify solution gaps and assist in the development of customization or other strategies within the project scope
- Provide system optimization guidance and recommendations
Strategic Consulting:
- Contribute to the development of consultancy tools and processes that could ease future projects
- Identify solutions to a broad variety of business issues within area of expertise to increase Allscripts EPSi opportunities
- Ensure a systematic approach to providing client practices with quality advice and guidance in optimizing patient care, financial performance, defining and re-engineering processes, and planning new services
- Liaise with internal groups (support, development, methodology) to assure on-going improvement of Allscripts EPSi solutions and methodology
- Mentor other associates in application and domain knowledge, troubleshooting and consulting skills
- Identify associate knowledge gaps and perform knowledge sharing activities to meet those needs
- Coach and motivate other associates to improve individual competency and performance
Reporting / Documentation:
- Document problem resolutions, issues, and other solutions and make them available for future reference by other Consultants
- Provide regular status reports throughout the project lifecycle to assist management eliminate risks and increase the likelihood of project success
- Produce other reports and/or documents as required
Qualifications
Academic and professional qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field or equivalent healthcare business experience
- Master's degree such as MBA or other is desirable
Experience:
- Prefer 6 years of healthcare decision support and/or budgeting experience
- Prefer 4 years’ client facing experience
- Experience with EPSi suite of applications preferred or other decision support softwares
- Project management experience
Required Skills:
- Strong written, oral, and presentation skills for audience appropriate delivery (i.e. executive, budgeting, project team levels)
- Ability to contribute to complex, workflow reengineering projects and/or management process projects, including outstanding analytical and communication skills
- Ability to provide consultative guidance and direction on change initiatives
- Ability to create and communicate value propositions with sales, clients and delivery teams
- Self-starter and follow-up with clients
- Flexibility and comfort with ambiguity
- Actively solicit feedback to improve
- Consulting knowledge to prepare deliverables and communicate effectively
Travel requirements:
- Willing and able to travel up to 100%
Working arrangements:
- Monday through Friday or as defined by assignment requirements
