Summary:

Ideal candidate will assist in a variety of administrative duties related to new provider Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant state licenses, as well as their ongoing medical license renewals. This will include maintaining medical licensing records, compiling information, and ensuring the timely submission of license applications and materials to state agencies and other institutions in order to obtain licenses promptly and efficiently for mid-level practitioners.

Essential Functions:

  • Work with providers to prepare state medical license applications for all initial applications and renewals in a timely and detail oriented manner
  • Maintain and update provider files for new and established providers
  • Effectively communicates with state boards and other institutions to obtain licensing status updates
  • Monitor all applicable license expiration dates for each mid-level practitioner
  • Research and update state laws and regulations for nurse practitioners/physician assistants in each state of practice, and periodically review for changes
  • Research and maintain a CME database for providers to help expedite license renewal process
  • Perform routine clerical duties, such as filing forms and other records from state boards and providers according to an established system
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of all credentialing files

Education, Experience and General Requirements:

  • High school diploma; associate or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years professional experience in a medical office/healthcare setting
  • Comfortable with various aspects of technology
  • Proficient in Google Docs and Excel
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes and the willingness to learn new methods

Hourly rate: $22

Must have superior organizational skills, a great level of flexibility and enjoy the challenges of supporting a growing office of diverse people and disciplines. Multi-tasking, and a critical eye to detail is also essential. Must have the ability to work well within a team environment and independently, and use solid judgment to manage and impart confidential information.
