Key Responsibilities End-to-End Content Development Create and publish SEO-optimised content and landing page copy across various sections of the
thetrainline.com website Develop ideas for new landing pages Proofreading content and copywriting for accuracy and effectiveness Create engaging content in line with brand tone of voice and style guide
Keyword & Competitor Research Using keyword research tools to find new content opportunities and optimise existing assets towards keywords and topics with high search demand Monitor competitor performance in local search engines and feedback insights into your localised marketing strategy
Commercial & Performance Measurement Monitor SEO ranking performance for key search terms in your chosen market Use analytics to measure the impact of your content against business objectives Make data-driven decisions based on business objectives Use qualitative and quantitate customer research techniques to better understand your audience and how they engage with your content
Campaigns and Cross-Channel Initiatives Think of creative ways to encourage shares and links across to Trainline content, assets and web pages, especially via off-page optimisation initiatives. Work with other internal performance marketing teams including PPC, Social Media, Brand, CRM and Partnerships to identify cross-channel content opportunities and considerations
Your knowledge and experience requirements Impeccable written and verbal Spanish skills High standard of English (written and verbal) Strong copywriter and proof-reader Very high attention to detail Excellent analytical skills with experience of and comfort with working with data Understanding of SEO and writing SEO-focused content (desired, but not essential) Experience with CMS systems (desired, but not essential) Might contribute to or write their own blog (desired, but not essential) Educated to degree level or equivalent
