This position will be supporting our Southest Region- Atlanta, Charlotte, Miami or Chicago.

About the role:

The Field Clinical Research Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day field execution of Boston Scientific clinical trials at selected clinical trial centers and for the day-to-day technical field support to the Sales Force, patients and Clinicians in accordance with clinical protocol requirements, world-wide regulatory body compliance guidelines, and corporate and departmental objectives. This role will provide technical advice to Sales Representative, Clinicians and Patients on Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS) products

Your responsibilities will include:

Approximately 75% travel involved. Traveling to accommodate clinical trial implants, follow up programming visits for clinical and sales, and in general, supporting the clinical center personnel and sales staff by being on call 24 hours a day and 7 days a week as needed for SCS device questions and/or troubleshooting in the field.

  • Provide technical advice to Sales Representatives on Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS) products
  • Case coverage or technical support assistance for patient device implant procedures within the Operating Room environment
  • Complex or advanced SCS device programming to provide improved pain therapy to patients
  • Training of new and senior level sales representatives on advanced programming techniques, intra-operative testing and OR protocol.
  • Training on and maintaining knowledge of clinical trial protocols, Clinical Department standard operating procedures, and compliance toward the regulations of world-wide regulatory bodies.
  • Providing technical support for clinical trial procedures including implants and follow up visits. This includes direct patient contact in the hospital or clinic setting.
  • Training on and maintaining knowledge of SCS products, neroanatomy and physiology, standard operating procedures, and compliance toward the regulations of world-wide regulatory bodies.
  • Reports device issues immediately as per policy.
  • Extensive working knowledge of BSN products and applications. Expert programming abilities; confident in all case types as it relates to lead replacement and programming. Able to program the most complicated patient conditions. Maintains composure in complex clinical situations.
  • Promotes a collabrative spirit and attitude. Conducts oneself in a professional manner and in all interactions and maintains high standards of excellence. Integrates seamlessly with providers, clinicians and facilities. Is sought out and recognized as a leader by colleagues, peers and clinicians. Actively listens to others with empathy and respect. What we’re looking for in you:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Nursing, Engineering, Biology or other science related field
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a sales and/or clinical research role
  • Experience with direct patient contact in a clinical or hospital environment
  • Must be available to be on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days per week
  • Previous experience with clinical trial implants, follow up programming visits, attend clinical and sale support meetings
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work with internal teams as well as have excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to lead others toward a common goal

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as an Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Medical Device Engineer
  • Medical device sales and/or clinical education experience
