A Calibration Technician will be involved in the calibration and repair of our test equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Follow documented procedures and use electrical and refrigeration schematics
  • Applies electronic theory to configure, model, layout, build, test, troubleshoot, determine solutions and modify electronic product for engineering efforts applicable to the department or program charter
  • Conducts engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect and analyze design data or otherwise assist in general research and development work.
  • Performs as member of a technical team utilizing effective communication skills, including leadership role. Actively participates in team decision making.
  • Establishes new approaches and techniques to achieve continuous improvement in all work processes.
  • Utilizes normal and complex test or diagnostic equipment. Uses software tools for data analysis and reporting.
  • Understands technical resources available to assist in performance of duties.
  • May provide support/instruction to less experienced technical personnel.
  • Candidate must follow all safety rules and procedures documented by Collins Aerospace

Qualifications:

  • An AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.In the absence of a HS diploma, GED or AA/AS degree, 8 years of relevant experience is required OR A Bachelor's degree in the appropriate discipline and 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic circuitry and troubleshooting skills required
  • Electrical and computer knowledge.
  • Mechanical background including welding skills and knowledge of refrigeration.
  • Able to lift up to 70 pounds.
  • The candidate must be highly motivated, self directed, and able to work closely in a positive team environment.
  • Good communication skills will be required.
  • The candidate must be able to acquire a EPA approved Universal Refrigeration License and be able to acquire a DOD security clearance.
