Associate SEO Strategist

Job Description

NerdWallet is seeking a highly strategic, analytical, and growth-oriented SEO Analyst to join our team. You will be responsible for contributing to our traffic and content teams, who are responsible for audience growth in vertical businesses. In this role, you will provide guidance on organic traffic growth, partnering closely with user acquisition managers, editorial content, and within the marketing team.

You will have a major impact on NerdWallet’s continued SEO success. This is a direct-impact role tackling both strategic and operational challenges, with a high level of ownership, visibility, and responsibility.

Where you can make an impact:

• Develop and manage SEO strategies that include keyword targeting, content analysis, technical improvement, and consumer engagement
• Collaborate with other business areas and teams as needed to optimize pages or tools, and provide consultation and expert guidance
• Provide ideation as a thought partner, addressing key optimization focus areas including keyword rank and expansion, content gaps, internal linking and competitive analysis
• Assist in overseeing and troubleshooting critical SEO issues
• Identify and champion growth opportunities
• Cultivate relationships across key stakeholders including editorial, content, product and performance marketing teams

Your experience:

• 3+ years experience in SEO, account management and consultation. Previous agency experience a plus
• Demonstrated track record of delivering traffic related outcomes that move the needle on company metrics
• Proficient in using analytics tools to drive SEO insights including Google Search Console, SEMRush, AHRefs, STAT. Technical SEO tools a plus
• Strong analytical skills to review data, interpret results, and turn insights into actionable and measurable strategies
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to develop and nurture relationships and influence key stakeholders
