Corporate & Investment Bank Event Marketing Analyst, EMEA
Overview
The analyst will work as a part of the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) global Event Marketing, Sponsorships and Tickets, and Creative Services team, which focuses on strategic direction and content delivery of client events, sponsorships and tickets and creative services . The focus will be on Global Corporate Bank and Global Trade events in EMEA.
The position requires engagement and relationship building over time with a broad range of business partners within Event Marketing as well as with the Global Corporate Bank and Global Trade businesses and other areas of the firm. The event marketer will assist other team members in strategic execution, plans and protocols, in addition to joining project work streams and data maintenance. The event marketer will support other marketers on larger events as well as manage his/her own responsibilities within various projects and events. The goals are to help Global Corporate Bank and Global Trade increase client revenues, deepen and widen existing client relationships, learn to drive efficiencies for all internal partners and maintain the J.P. Morgan brand standard. The role reports to the regional head of Global Corporate Bank and Global Trade events.
Description/ Responsibilities
- Learn the fundamentals of the business, strategic objectives, target audiences and department goals and translate the knowledge into individual priorities to deliver successful client events
- Assist senior marketers in developing and implementing an event strategy that supports business goals
- Direct enquiries on events and other client-facing activity to the proper individuals or departments
- Contribute to the planning and execution of events, including, but not limited to: venue research; data maintenance and integrity; internal and external communications; invitation creation, proofing, testing and distribution; pre-event tasks, such as clarifying audio visual and technical requirements; print requests; on-site staffing and support; post-event tasks, such as reviewing survey data and creating debrief materials
- Responsible for administrative tasks, e.g., taking RSVPs; reviewing RSVP lists; managing event supplies and shipping; premium research and ordering; and production tasks of event materials like name badges, biographies, speaker introductions, briefing memos and printing
- Collaborate with other event marketers and partners on event data and analysis as well as assist in the development and reconciliation of event budgets
- Ability to become a ‘super user’ of core event tools and systems, including our event app, Zkipster, SharePoint, Marketo and Metron.
Qualifications - Detail-oriented and organized with a strength in project management
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including editing and proofing
- Proactive, self-sufficient, resourceful and motivated
- Strong sense of time management, prioritization and ability to execute against deliverables
- Ability to multitask and be flexible in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
- Ability to problem solve/think and work independently
- Comfortable interacting with peers, partners, management, relationship managers and clients
- Must be able to “roll-up sleeves” in enthusiastically tackling any task, have a team player attitude and commitment to success
Requirements - BA degree
- Experience in events, marketing or a related field, preferably with a financial or professional services firm
- Financial industry knowledge helpful
- Maintains an understanding and interest in topical business / commercial matters, plus geopolitical awareness
- Expert in Microsoft suite; proficient in SharePoint
- Proficiency with firm-wide systems or ability to learn internal systems
- Requires early mornings and late nights and some travel
