Aon is looking for a Salesforce System Administrator

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting Risk within Affinity. This role can be worked virtually from any location in the U.S. (if willing to travel 25%), otherwise located in Chicago, IL, Fort Washington, PA or New York, NY office locations. As a Salesforce System Administrator, you will report directly to the Director of Marketing Performance and Analytics.

In this role you be supervising the organization's Salesforce Instance and working closely with the senior operations team to optimize their use of the Salesforce platform. To excel in this position, you should be a highly-motivated, self-starter with a deep passion for Salesforce optimization and management. You should a data-driven, problem solver with excellent follow through and attention to detail.

Your impact as a Salesforce System Administrator

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support all users and help adopt best practices
  • Promote and increase adoption through training, functionality enhancements and integrations
  • Proactively seek out, analyze and optimize Salesforce related workflows, cases, triggers, platform design, and setup needed system changes
  • Create and manage custom fields, objects, formulas, workflows, approval processes, etc.
  • Create and manage roles, profiles, security settings and permissions
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of Salesforce reports and ensure proper distribution
  • Test, Validate and execute approved configuration changes to fields, workflows, reports, roles, permissions, security settings, layouts, custom objects, reports, dashboards, etc.
  • Integrate Salesforce with other applications, such as ERP Systems, and internal databases; along with the ability to address errors between the systems
  • Create and manage modern Salesforce automation tools - including Process Builder, Flows, including all of the point-and-click type development tools
  • Participate in user requirement sessions to identify opportunities for process improvement and technical solutions.
  • Anticipate and assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce.com and all upstream and downstream applications, systems and processes and communicate your findings accordingly
  • Stay up-to-date current on Salesforce releases, features, best practices, applications, technologies and certifications
  • Foster collaborative relationships, engaging resources outside of direct control to gain consensus or influence, meet deadlines and achieve objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date current on Salesforce releases, features, best practices, applications, technologies and certifications
  • Create and document system and data designs processes and create architecture artifacts and present artifacts for architectural review when necessary
  • Conduct research when necessary into emerging technologies and IT practices
  • Manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously and work in an Agile team environment
  • Collaborate with developers, integrators and business partners for system enhancements and upgrades

You Bring Knowledge and Expertise

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of extensive working knowledge of SFDC
  • 3+ years in digital marketing and/or marketing technology
  • Familiar with Salesforce.com best practices and creating processes that help scale business operations
  • Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on SFDC as well as the impact to integrated applications, systems and processes
  • Familiar with the integration and native behaviors of marketing automation platforms such as Marketing Cloud.
  • Strong project management skills, accustomed to working to a budget and within strict timelines
  • Self-starter with demonstrated capability to work in fast-paced, dynamic marketing environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to travel (typically less than 25%)

Preferred Experience:

  • Certified Salesforce.com administrator
  • Experience with API integrations a plus

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology or a related field
