Position Summary

Develop and drive the implementation of productivity standards across the Americas Tire Manufacturing organization. The standards will improve the competitive position of our factories using tools that include traditional industrial engineering methodologies, MOST & Lean.

Define strategies that establish & monitor efficient labor utilization models for optimum levels of productivity, output & cost management for manufacturing facilities.

Responsible & accountable for plant efficiency & efficiency related to cost indicators. Identify & drive Industrial Engineering methods that deliver defined results supporting the AOP, RvsCC, S&OP, as well as capital plans for growth and productivity.

Develop & drive the coordinated linkages between the business & manufacturing. Educate leadership at the corporate & factory level in Industrial Engineering methodologies.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with plants on implementation of competitive output standards. Create & implement changes to support output standards & hold teams accountable
  • Analyze current utilization & determine the changes required to meet output standards. Develop, implement & maintain incentive plans to drive improvements in plant performance
  • Ensure budget and staffing plans are reflective of the most accurate production performance standards
  • Drive best practices across the Americas Manufacturing organization. Ensure that leadership at all levels embrace and drive expected performance

Experience / Skills Required

  • 8 or more years experience with industrial engineering related projects within a manufacturing environment
  • 4 years managerial experience
  • Experience in the implementation of MOST-based output standards
  • Experience in leading projects across multiple sites & driving change management initiatives
  • Exposure & familiarity with MOST (Maynard Output Sequence Technology) preferred
  • Ability to work across all levels of the organization from hourly workers through executive management
  • Working knowledge of equipment and processes utilized in tire manufacturing
  • Knowledge of establishing, monitoring & rewarding based upon output standards
  • Ability to guide & mentor others through strong leadership ability
  • Ability to lead process transformation and change effectively
  • BS - industrial engineering or other engineering discipline
