Position Summary:
Manage and oversee all areas of sales and use tax function which includes compliance and audits in retail multiple jurisdictions industry relating to U.S. and Canada. Assist in training and developing staff, analyze and

Compliance:
* Manage and oversee maintenance of tax certificate process and internal controls
* Manage and oversee use tax accrual process and internal controls
* Manage and oversee tax rates and other tax compliance areas
* Review and approve payment release
* Manage, develop, train and mentor staff on tax projects
* Review and research various tax projects
* Maintain and update SOX compliance and key controls
Audits:
* Direct and manage sales and use tax audits across multiple jurisdictions
* Prepare audit support and documentation for sales and use audits
* Engage and provide auditor with supporting documentation
* Manage and train team on audit strategy and defense
* Provide expertise and leadership to ensure accuracy while mitigating tax impact
* Analyze and evaluate audit exposure, provide recommendation
* Tax planning and reserve activity
Other:
* Customer support - provide sales and use tax support for questions
* Assist with other tax related analysis, research and special projects

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
We're excited about you because you have...
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting
* 5+ years of experience working in corporate indirect tax or public accounting experience
* Prior experience in retail industry a plus
* 2+ years of experience in management role
* Strong knowledge of sales and use tax laws and research
* Working knowledge of sales and use tax preparation, use tax accrual and tax research
* Strong analytical skills
* Strong PC skills including advance proficiency in Excel
* Extremely organized, detail oriented, highly motivated with ability to handle multiple projects and priorities in efficient manner
* Work well under pressure and ability to meet tight deadlines
* Ability to plan, organize, complete work with minimal supervision
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
