Health and Safety Specialist

Job Description

Role Summary:

Site technical expert on environmental, health & safety (EHS) issues, providing input to site EHS/Facilities Business Leader and management. To initiate and influence EHS culture improvement and work as a team to integrate related EHS policy & practices into the business. He/she will work closely with his/her department and the operation team in risk controls, training, audit and incident/accident investigation .

Essential Responsibilities:

The candidate will perform the roles as per listed in the regulation governing workplace safety and health officer & fire safety manager duties and support site in protecting the environment., These include but not limited to:

• Develop & implement EHS programs and procedures as a team to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations
• Conduct risk assessment, training and audit for the site
• Implement required corrective /preventive measures based on audit finding, root cause analysis and trending analysis
• Develop & implement tracking programs and record keeping systems and administer EHS compliance tracking program
• Work with process owners to evaluate new product introduction, equipment and chemicals to ensure risks are properly assess and control measures are in place prior to use on site
• Any assignments given by hiring manager or Global Aviation EHS team

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with at least 3 years of experience in Environmental Health & Safety
• Registered WSH Officer
• Fire Safety Manager
