Job Description • Provide direct support to US Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) Directives Manager; capable of independently filling role of acting Directives Manager when Directives Manager is out of office • Act as primary point of contact between workflow and Directives Manager office with ability to discern when to elevate issues to directives manager and/or program manager• Ability to mediate issues requiring coordination between organizations.• Provide assistance/guidance/training to workforce on a one-on-one or team level • Create/edit training and briefing materials for the workforce.• Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude towards customers, which includes prompt responses to inquiries and accurate guidance when providing assistance • Maintain policy casefiles on each active and canceled SSP Directive (keep records of customer interactions, transactions, comments, and complaints up to date for each Directive; meticulously ensure casefiles are comprehensive and all pertinent information is documented• Actively manage the Annual Review process that is required for all active SSP Directives• Provide oversight (non-managerial) and maintain status over the SSP Directives being reviewed internally by the Directives Management office and externally by stakeholders to ensure that documents do not remain stagnant in the review processes.• Serve as initial point of contact when troubleshooting process and workflow issues affecting project stakeholders and provide necessary guidance; escalate issues if necessary• Coordinate with System Architect, SPCIO IT teams, Programmer/Developer, Program Manager, and Project Manager if process or workflow improvements need to be addressed. • Position will be located full time at the Navy Yard SSP Headquarters in Washington, D.C.• Core Hours are 8:00 am to 3:00 pm (Monday – Friday)Typical Education & Experience Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experienceRequired Skills and Education • Administrative support experience• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to express ideas and information clearly and concisely in oral and written format• Keen editorial skills with the ability to standardize product content• Excellent organizational skills with an ability to think proactively and prioritize work• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and manage numerous tasks at the same time• Must have the ability to solve problems and meet deadlines while maintaining flexibility in the face of changing priorities• Demonstrated ability to research and assimilate information accurately from a variety of sources• Requires an Active Secret Clearance• Ability to comprehend, retain, and review/edit policy manuals • Comprehensive understanding of MS Office, specifically Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint Preferred Skills and Education • Comprehensive understanding of SECNAV, OPNAV, and SSP directives guidance• Customer service experience• Advanced-level expertise with MS Office, specifically Outlook, Excel, and PowerPointAbout BAE Systems Intelligence & Security BAE Systems Intelligence & Security, based in McLean, Virginia, designs and delivers advanced defense, intelligence, and security solutions that support the important missions of our customers.
