Job Description

Description:Supervisor for Electro/Mechanical Assembly area with potential for supervising Surface Mount Circuit Card assembly, Electrical harness and cabinet assemblies and high volume electro mechanical assemblies. Responsible to manage a team to meet Quality, Schedule and Cost targets for multiple programs. Prior experience in a similar type of manufacturing environment required. Conflict resolution skills and the ability to build respectful and trusting working relationships along with motivational skills and the ability to energize teams is considered a plus. Candidate should have experience in a manufacturing organization and the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and demonstrated performance of implementation. Some engineering work will be required updating work instructions, assisting in planning new production areas and improving existing work cells.
Lockheed Martin’s Archbald facility is a full-service Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) mission area that provides design, manufacturing, engineering, and field service and support to its domestic and international customers. The site supports two product lines: Precision Guided Systems (PGS) and Nuclear Systems. The PGS line of business designs and manufactures air-to-ground weapon and training systems for the US Military and international allied customers. It supports two primary sets of customers in our Nuclear Systems line of business. On the military side, it has provided safety-critical nuclear instrumentation and controls (I&C) systems for naval submarines and aircraft carriers for over 60 years; on the commercial side, it designs and manufactures I&C products for the commercial nuclear power industry.
Archbald is located in Northeastern Pennsylvania and is part of Lackawanna County in the Blue Ridge Mountain range. The entire region is about 100 miles from both New York City and Philadelphia. Basic Qualifications:
Associate's Degree
Prior leadership experience
Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
Familiarity with lean manufacturing techniques
Microsoft office suite knowledge and skills
Ability to track and manage cost, quality, and schedule, in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to define problems, collect data and make the necessary improvements.
Ability to obtain a secret security clearance - Must be a US Citizen
Desired Skills:
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Prior leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with Auto CAD
Knowledge of IPC-620 and J-Std
LM21 Green Belt
Performance Management Team experience
Manufacturing Engineering experience
Root Cause Analysis
Ability to develop assembly aids/tools
Familiar with LM systems like, Flexnet labor recording, SAP and LMPeople
