Job Description

As an Executive Assistant , you’ll provide exceptional comprehensive administrative and operational support for two co-founders responsible for product and people operations at Upstart. You will work cross-functionally and collaborate with teams across the company. This role requires an ability to interact with staff at all levels in a fast paced environment while remaining flexible, positive, poised and demonstrating a high level of professionalism, confidentiality and good judgement. This highly-motivated person will be responsible for both general executive administrative tasks as well as operational and project management activities.

Here is more about what you’ll be doing:

  • Act as first point of contact for the two executives and assist in managing all day to day activities; dynamic calendars, email correspondence, scheduling meetings, travel arrangements, appointments, conference calls, and other engagements
  • Build rapport with key cross-functional stakeholders to serve as a catalyst around scheduling and or spontaneous inquiries and/or requests
  • Maintain ongoing reports, databases, trackers, files, update and organize shared drives/files, update organizational charts, etc. as needed
  • Find new and efficient ways to create processes to help maximize your executive's time, including weekly reporting, goal setting, and team meetings
  • Take initiative and offer assistance where needed; adding value whenever possible
  • Complete other duties and special projects as assigned, including light personal support when needed

Here is what we are looking for:

  • 5+ or more years relevant experience supporting C-Suite Executives in a fast-paced environment, preferably high growth tech start-up
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication
  • Strong work ethic, resourceful, and ability to navigate and thrive in ambiguity
  • Extremely organized; able to juggle and multi-task, with an acute attention to detail and follow through
  • High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and good judgment
  • Highly proficient with Google Calendar and all apps within G-Suite
  • Demonstrates high EQ, proven track record of strong follow through & ownership
  • Finance and/or Technology experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
