The opportunity

Please note this role is based in Edinburgh and the start date will be January 2020.

You will be the first point of contact for all inbound calls from our customers. You’ll be joining a department that celebrates success and puts a real focus on you. We will provide you with an in-depth training and development programme that will enable you to help our customers with their pension related queries.

Your goal will be to ensure that you provide our customers with an excellent service. To enable you to do this you will be measured in areas such as customer experience, quality and the efficiency in which you handle our customer queries.

We will reward you with our Pay & Progression model which will recognise your achievements. Your performance will be reviewed on a monthly basis and, when eligible, you will be nominated for a pay increase.

You’ll be working Monday – Friday, 35 hours per week between the hours of 08:30 and 17:45. There will be alternate shift patterns each week, therefore, you will have to show some flexibility to align to the shift patterns.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include

  • Building a relationship with your customer on each call and adapting your style to meet individual customer needs
  • Actively listen and use strong communication skills to convey information in an effective way that improves our customers understanding
  • Be aware of the needs and expectations of our customers and manage these expectations
  • Guide our customers through aspects of their retirement journey ensuring they are informed and at ease every step of the way
