Reporting to the Manager, Merchandise Operations “Merch Ops”, the ​Merch Designer ​will play a critical role supporting the Merch Ops art team with core product launches to support our global community of independent artists. This role supports the end-to-end product launch process, from reviewing artist submitted artwork, maintaining the Minted brand, optimizing designs for a high quality customer experience on our website, and preparing designs with technical standards to meet print quality and fulfillment needs. This role will partner with various individuals and teams within the Merchandising, Product Management and Artist Relations departments. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented person with a ‘roll up the sleeves’ attitude in delivering results, extreme organization skills, comfortable with multitasking and tight deadlines, and a passion for designing and standardizing processes. This position will provide business operations and design experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, supporting thousands of artists who participate in Minted’s community.

You will:

• Prepare challenge-winning designs as both web and print ready files for fulfillment, while meeting Minted’s technical and print quality standards
• Ensure artwork maintains standards of Minted’s premium-quality brand as well as the community artists’ intentions
• Carry out all activities needed for multiple product launches under tight deadlines, (review of design, revisions, font approval, artist contact) prior to being uploaded on the website
• Maintain consistent high level of productivity, in keeping with expectations set by management
• Keep design files and folders clearly named, organized and accessible to necessary teams within internal servers
• Update Trello and Google Docs for assigned designs and challenges, keeping track of priorities needed by Merchandising and/or other departments

You have:

• 0-2 years experience in Adobe Creative Suite required
• Passion for design, illustration, photography or other creative fields
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Experience with photo/art editing in Photoshop -- specifically color and resolution/quality
• Experience with swatch and pattern making in Illustrator
• Experience with typography and the principles of print design
