As a SSD Validation Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., your responsibilities will include defining and developing 3DXP vertical stack test requirements, validation plans and strategies that encompass all aspects of product validation (EVT/DVT/BVT/FWT), test scripts, lab and equipment needs, tools, methodologies, and customer-facing joint qualification plans. You will be working in partnership with the Micron’s Hyperscale/Enterprise 3DXP customers throughout the Product Life Cycle to improve the cycle time and customer quality of Micron’s 3DXP products. Success will be measured by development and execution of high quality customer test strategies and capabilities, the ability to establish strong engineering relationships with key customers, successful execution of internal testing and joint Customer qualifications, and the ability to influence the competitive direction of Micron’s 3DXP products. . Candidate must be able to work with customers and translate their use cases into rigorous test scenarios in a compatibility test environment. Ability to manage large numbers of sightings/issues and drive them at a technical level. Be able to demonstrate success in communicating status, issues, concerns, strategies of programs and projects - including development of appropriate indicators. Must be able to deal with ambiguity and operate with little direction to meet defined goals. Must be able to work with and through others to achieve goals and task completion. Comprehend and articulate validation strategies, plans and status.

Experience :

• 10+ Years in Embedded firmware or 4+ years in Storage/SSD would be a strong plus.
• System and Software Performance lab: Setting up lab infrastructure and tools to measure and analyze various application level performance of 2 tier memory hierarchies in a virtualized environment while incorporating various OS/Hypervisor variants and different CPU variants.
• Develop and design test plans/scripts to evaluate new product features
• Define, develop and implement software, firmware and device validation test plan and test content.
• Integrate tests into an automated test environment and collaborate with test execution teams to drive validation plans/strategy.
• Review, track and document test results and sightings
• Drive issues to closure by interfacing/collaborating with other product development teams
• Successful Candidates for this position will have:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• Good Knowledge of Linux, Python, and Statistics.
• Effective oral and written communication with strong analytical, problem solving, and project management skills
• Demonstrated ability to work well with others and collaborate effectively in a team environment
• Expert planning and tracking skills, able to see big picture, well-organized, focused on results, capable of managing multiple projects, excellent time management with respect to priorities and self-management.
• Strong verbal communication and expert in written communications.
• Must have excellent knowledge of system storage and the relationship to the platform ingredients: CPU, Memory, PCIe, drivers, OS, firmware, etc.
