Roles and Responsibilities:
The Payee Name Scrub: Processes paid image exceptions against customer supplied payee name information. All exceptions are examined and either accepted (accurate) or rejected (the name on the check does not match the customer supplied information). Individual items that do not match the customer supplied information are routed to the customer for a pay/no pay decision via the Disbursements web channel. The work is basic and routine in nature with some variety.
The Positive Pay exception scrub: Responsible for the scrutiny of captured (in check processing) micr line information against customer supplied information utilizing an account level printout and the check image (Instant Image). If there is a difference (ie the dollar amount or serial number) then the operator will change the incorrect field on the SMS system. Once all corrections on an account have been completed, then the account is finalized.
The Positive Pay Exception Workflow: Responsible for the scrutiny of captured micr line information on the check versus on the Issue date under the check. If there is a difference (i.e. the dollar amount or serial number) the processor will change it right away. Once it correctly on the EW it will be automatically finalized to the customer and the customer will received an exception.
The individual will be part of a team and you will be assigned individual responsibilities within that team. Although this associate will have individual responsibilities, they will be expected to contribute to meeting the team's goals. The individual will be relied upon to make judgment calls regarding routine duties but refer non-routine situations to supervisors.
