Responsibilities

• Designs, implements, debugs, and unit-tests software for new and existing applications
• Documents design choices and implementation methods
• Carries out coding standards and standard methodologies through code reviews and feedback to team members
• Maintains a thorough understanding of the current systems architecture, functionality, and performance
• Monitors system health and performance, responds to critical system issues including after-hours support
• Mentors and collaborates with software development team members
• Identifies and implements improved processes throughout the organization
• Critically assess business requirements to ensure projects strategically fit with company goals and objectives
• Solicits and documents functional and technical requirements from various project partners
• Prioritizes and resource levels tasks across development team members
• Delivers quick-to-market solutions that meet business objective with emphasis on long term code maintainability
• Researches and implements the latest software development technologies and methodologies
• Tracks projects through complete software development life cycle, ensures deadlines are met
• Report project and team updates to top-level management
• Drive technical direction of business initiatives
• Iteratively improve code quality, system performance and software functionality
• Provide excellent customer service and technical support to internal and external partners

What makes you a great fit for this role?

• You have attained a Bachelor's degree and/or have 7+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Have extensive experience with open source technologies, specifically LAMP stack development (PHP, MySQL, Apache, Linux, etc.).
• Have proficiency with web technologies (Amazon Web Services and/or Google Cloud Platform)
• Have experience in delivering successful systems within a variety of business sectors.
• Be proficient in implementing complex business logic requirements for large-scale business applications (i.e., high volume, complex calculations, and/or high availability 24/7).You have a solid ability to analyze, interpret and explain complex concepts and documents in simple, effective terms
• You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with team members at various levels, including business leaders, and navigate a wide range of internal and external environments
• You have the demonstrated ability to influence outcomes and decisions, even when not in a position of authority
• You've read and interpreted business and technical documents, and a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• You've responded to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
• Solution-oriented with ability to define issues, gather information, establish facts, draw conclusions, and recommend solutions
• You can handle a variety of abstract and concrete variables
• You have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Be customer-focused to understand and appropriately respond to customers' business needs
• Demonstrate the ability to interface effectively and collaborate with clients, peers and management to develop solutions and ensure partner consensus
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills, ability to accurately analyze information and make sound decisions

• Have the ability to work multi-functionally across the organization toward the specific objectives of a particular business or IT domain
• Possess knowledge of both large and small-scale system development
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Design software; Development software; Internet software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software
• Ensure data security of all Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
• Positive, forward-thinking outlook and have the drive and desire for rapid achievement.
• Be FCRA Certified, preferred
