As a Business Development Manager (BDM) supporting the Embedded Business Unit (EBU), you will be a member of the Americas Division BDM team. The role requires the ability to evangelize Micron’s NAND, NOR, DRAM, SSD, and uSD value proposition within assigned account base and region. The BDM will be responsible for developing, managing, and growing both new and existing accounts within the Industrial, medical, military, and consumer segments. The role may support distribution and direct OEM accounts depending on need.

Responsibilities

• Establish and nurture long term, trusting relationships with assigned accounts
• Drive and lead a robust opportunity pipeline to support future EBU Americas growth plans
• Work with sales and FAE teams to define account strategies that balance customer needs and EBU business objectives
• Meet with Customer, Sales, and FAE to understand customer technical requirements and business needs and propose the best solution using Micron’s broad portfolio of products
• Interact with EBU worldwide counterparts (marketing/engineering/ecosystem teams) for synchronizing on products/segment strategies
• Deploy and optimize pricing strategy with the field sales in order to profitably grow business and market share in line with business objectives
• Monitor marketplace and competitors. Adjust strategy and tactics to secure targeted share of market
• Provide regular customer feedback and updates to central marketing team regarding product roadmaps, product lines and competition
• Keep EBU management and key partners up to date on business and product status and requirements using data and executive level communication best practices
• Partner with accurate stakeholder organizations to resolve GTM execution issues impacting customer qualifications, delivery, product performance, etc.
• Analyze customers demand for forecast accuracy and continuity
• Support customer marketing messages, programs, training, and events

Preferred skill-set:

• Strong field and customer orientation with timely and comprehensive support
• Strong eye for business with ability to complete return on investment analysis on customized product solutions and market assessments
• Good understanding of technical requirements and application needs
• Excellent listening skills; communication, advising, influencing and consulting
• Senior level problem solving and presentation skills
• Ability to coordinate cross functional activities between different teams and business units, sometimes across regions
• Process oriented, organized & problem solving attitude
• Flexibility, ability to balance short term requirements with long term perspective

Education & Experience:

• BA required, Masters preferred in business, engineering, or applicable field and at least 5 years of experience in Sales, Business Development, Product Marketing or Product Engineering
• Working knowledge, background, and understanding of memory products including Parallel and Serial NOR, NAND, eMMC, DRAM.

Additional Requirements:

• Availability to support frequent business trips within Americas region and occasionally international
• Strong communication, presentation, Powerpoint, CRM and Excel skills.
