ExxonMobil is looking for a full-time staff position in the area of Computational Sciences in Houston, Texas. We are looking for dynamic, creative, and resourceful individuals to join our research team in the general area of mathematical modeling of physical processes. The hired individual will conduct independent research in the areas such as numerical solutions to PDEs using Continuous/Discontinuous Galerkin Finite Element, Finite Volume, Boundary Integral, Immersed Boundary, Phase Field etc., computational poro-mechanics and fracture mechanics, nonlinear contact mechanics, metal and soil constitutive modeling, computational geometry, topology optimization, inverse problems and reduced order modeling.
The successful candidate will join a multi-disciplinary, geographically distributed team of researchers and engineers dedicated to advance application of numerical methods and scientific computing to develop simulation technologies for a broad variety of upstream applications.
