IT Group Description:

Compliance and Legal Technology provides project management, business analysis, software development, systems administration and production support to the Legal and Compliance department for corporate governance practices such as Employee Trading, Electronic Communication Surveillance, OFAC Sanction Screening, Anti-Money Laundering and Trade Surveillance. Compliance and Legal Technology provides global support for internally developed applications and websites, internally hosted third-party applications and externally hosted solutions such as Compliance Task Management System, MFN Machine, Compliance Review Tracker, Daily Restricted List, Compliance Video Training, Mantas Anit-Money Laundering and Trade Surveillance, Autonomy Electronic Communication Governance, Star Compliance and Worksite/Document Management System.

IT Job Description:

We are seeking a Nashville based Product Manager to join our Compliance and Legal Technology in Corporate Systems.

Describe the role:

The Compliance and Legal Product Manager will manage both vendor and in-house applications for Compliance and Legal, including AB’s Document Management System (Worksite), Electronic Communications Surveillance and Archiving platform, StarCompliance and other internally developed Compliance applications. This candidate will be responsible for documenting both business and technical requirements and will work closely with both development and QA teams to prioritize and implement these requirements. He/she will serve as the subject matter expert for all applications he/she is responsible for and will interact daily with Senior members of the Compliance and Legal department. This role requires a significant interaction with users to gather business requirements, direct hands on work with client-side configuration, user training, and tier 3 user support. This position will report to Vice President of Compliance and Legal Technology.

The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as a Product Manager for the Compliance and Legal department.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across business, IT, data and quality assurance teams to define enterprise technology solutions and workflow strategy.
  • Capture business requirements and translate them into detailed specifications.
  • Conduct business analysis by analyzing complex problems and designing system solutions
  • Analyze and improve business processes.
  • Manage projects through the SDLC. The scope of these projects could include both the development of new software and significant enhancements/changes to existing software.
  • Manage third party vendor system implementations as well as in-house systems and ensure timely and effective project delivery.
  • Track all ongoing projects and communicate their status in a timely manner to stakeholders
  • Develop and manage a centralized plan for delivery based on the business needs.
  • Identify and actively manage risks. Ensure the appropriate technology controls are in place.
  • Vendor management of vendor applications. This includes managing the relationship, service level agreements and total cost of ownership.
  • Evaluation, testing and direction of all client-side and server-side software upgrades.
  • Provide technical support, consulting, training and problem-solving to lawyers and legal support staff.
  • Collaboration with the local Desktop Support teams regarding end user desktop setup, configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Establish and document operational and trouble-shooting procedures for use by local technical support personnel.
  • Monitor system performance to ensure system availability and functionality.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications (The ideal candidate should have the following):

  • Minimum 3 years of Business Analysis and Project Management experience
  • 1 to 3 years of Technology and Compliance and Legal Technology related application experience preferred
  • 1 to 3 years of Financial Industry experience preferred
  • Communication: Speak and write clearly. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and influencing skills. Strong partnership with business stakeholders. Client focused with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through
  • Persistence: Demonstrate tenacity and enthusiasm to accomplish tasks. Detail-oriented and deadline driven with proven ability to multi-task across projects
  • Proactively anticipate needs and act without specific direction. Bring new ideas to the company. Solution oriented, proactive and team spirited.
  • Efficiency: Prioritize and produce significant output with minimal wasted effort.
  • Organization and planning: Strong planning, organization, scheduling, budgeting, and goal setting skills.
  • Follow-through on commitments: Live up to verbal and written agreements, budgets and schedules.
  • Propensity to learn new areas of the business, processes, and applications quickly
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical capabilities. Demonstrated the ability to analyze facts, identify issues and represent findings and ideas with clear, well thought out visual representations using Visio diagrams and PowerPoint presentations
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as with multiple cross-functional teams spanning both business and technology groups.
  • Experience in iManage (Filesite, DeskSite), MicroFocus’ Electronic Communications Surveillance and Archiving (Autonomy / HPE’s Supervisor and DigitalSafe) and StarCompliance is a big plus
  • Project management and stakeholder relationship experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems
