Business Analysis

Our Business Analysts engage with senior leaders to support that challenge while also upholding the financial integrity of the Corporation. We are transforming the way we use data and systems to provide real-time insights on performance and strategy. The majority of our entry positions with a Financial and Analytical focus are in the Business Analysis and Reporting (BAR) department. You will be responsible for monthly analysis of business performance and reporting those results to management for internal stewardship and external publications. We aim to hire people for a long-term career and our rotational model will offer you opportunities to broaden your expertise and develop leadership skills in our finance, commercial and operations functions. In any career path, you will be exposed to the diversity of our Downstream, Chemical and Upstream businesses. Career development for strong performers can include international assignments in Europe and the United States.

Early assignments provide exposure to operations and a variety of businesses through activities such as:
• Performing analysis and reporting of financial and business operating results
• Serving as the financial advisor to operating management on earnings stewardship, controls, and financial processes
• Utilizing data analytics to gain market insights and identify improvement opportunities which will help us to compete in the marketplace
• Coordinating a business unit's financial plan, operating forecast and capital budget
• Conducting and leading audits of our business functions and external business partners
• Designing and evaluating financial and operating control systems
• Providing broad financial support to acquisitions, divestments and corporate restructurings

You have:
• Master’s degree in, Business Administration, Economics, Commercial Engineering, Analytics or similar from a recognized university
• You are a recent university graduate (0 - 3 years of work experience) with demonstrated academic achievement
• A fluency in English (Dutch or French is a plus)
• Affinity for analysis with attention to detail
• The ability to work in a fast paced environment, and you are able to multitask and set priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate within a multi-cultural environment to develop innovative solutions for day-to-day challenge
• Broad career interests, wanting to grow and develop in our company with an international mindset.
• A customer focus, you are eager to learn, and you can easily adapt to changes in the work environment
