Overview:

The Senior Technical Product Owner is responsible for driving strategy of key platforms, supporting internal developers and building roadmaps to meet platform requirement needs.

Job Accountabilities:

  • Drives the strategy, planning, and delivery of key capabilities for platform products
  • Owns the product backlog and feature prioritization process of a Squad
  • Leads agile teams to ensure value creation for business & users
  • Drives the strategy, planning, and delivery of key capabilities for platform products
  • Acts as the voice of the customer in the definition of product; incorporates feedback from customer interviews and user research
  • Collaborates with platform and software engineers, platform and site reliability engineers, and engineering leadership to uncover pain points and opportunities to accelerate the delivery of new value through software
  • Build business cases for new integrations and product concepts
  • Work with software development teams across the globe to define hypotheses, run experiments, and analyze data to make decisions on features that influence the direction of the platform

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Deep understanding of business strategy and ability to craft software/platform/infrastructure architecture plans to support business outcomes
  • Cloud Foundry and other components supporting a highly-automated global engineering platform
  • Virtual infrastructure running Ubuntu Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Languages such as Java, JavaScript, .NET, HTML5, CSS3, Swift and/or similar technologies
  • Experimenting with emerging technologies and understanding how they will impact what comes next
  • A capacity for constant learning from both success and failure, remaining open to change and continuous improvement
  • Collaborative attitude, willingness to work with team members; able to coach, participate in code reviews, share skills and methods
  • Constantly learns from both success and failure
  • Good organizational and problem-solving abilities that enable you to manage through creative abrasion
  • Good verbal and written communication; able to effectively articulate technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes
  • Experiments with emerging technologies and understanding how they will impact what comes next
