Senior Systems Administrator
Job Description Responsible for the technical design, planning, implementation, and the highest level of performance tuning and recovery procedures for business deployed information systems. Serves as a technical expert in the area of system administration for complex operating systems. Recommends the redesign and configuration of operating systems and system applications. Investigates and analyzes feasibility of system requirements and develops system specifications. Identifies methods, solutions, and provides project leadership and management in order to provide a high level of service to customers within the business. Job Responsibilities
- Configure internal systems, diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Maintain network infrastructure, servers, devices and firewalls.
- Train system users and maintain technical documentation.
- Monitor the performance of servers, software and hardware.
- Ensure the smooth deployment of new IT solutions.
- Auditing the security aspects and assess the security related factors of various operating systems (Windows, Linux and UNIX).
- Evaluate potential IA security risks through Continuous Monitoring.
- Ensuring configuration management (CM) for software, hardware and firmware is maintained and documented.
- Work independently within assigned priorities and project schedules
- Candidate must have an active DoD Collateral clearance.
