As a Senior Product Line Manager for Micron’s Storage Business Unit (SBU), you will be charged with defining and executing Micron's NAND vision for SBU. You will work through cross-functional teams that include engineering, sales, and manufacturing to define leading-edge NAND and storage solutions built from solid state technologies that tackle our customer’s needs. Our Strategic Marketing team leads three key disciplines Enterprise/Cloud SSD, Client SSD and OEM NAND associated activities for Micron’s Storage Business Unit.

Day-to-day responsibilities will center on leading cross-functional efforts to define NAND solutions via the company’s roadmap process. This influential role requires outstanding skills in analytics, market understanding, and engaging with Micron's customer base. You will develop/use relationships with industry key suppliers, and customers, and drive related planning initiatives within the organization. A successful candidate must demonstrate excellent business, strategy, and communications skills. He or she will be responsible for working with executives to communicate features and performance targets and market trends. The role will work collaboratively with other Business Units as appropriate, Corporate Strategy, Business Development, and Executive Staff.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Work with sales teams to develop both short-range and long-range unit/revenue forecasts
  • Track and manage design-win progress in key market segments/customers
  • Track customer production ramps and forecasts to ensure accurate supply support by working closely with Sales and Business Operations partners
  • Generating product collateral (roadmaps, sales tools, etc.)
  • Coordinate and compile future enterprise and client SSD market trends, sees opportunities and enables solutions
  • Maintain good relationships with NAND customers and the ecosystem to understand their needs and how to deliver value with your products
  • Maintain clear and timely communication around the health, priorities, and trade-offs of the product line, across all levels of the Micron organization to drive execution over the lifecycle of our products – from development to end-of-life
  • Drive product development teams to meet product objectives & close / raise open issues affecting OEM opportunities
  • Work with multi-functional teams (technology development, SSD Architecture, SSD marketing, etc.) to develop and bring to bear key NAND features, specifications and requirements and create consensus

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills – for internal, external, and executive audiences
  • Proven ability to think creatively and innovatively
  • Professional judgment, discretion, and critical thinking that comes from considerable experience in the field
  • Analytical abilities to forecast and identify trends and challenges
  • Familiarity with the latest trends & technologies in SSDs and/or NAND
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and working across multiple locations.
  • Ability to travel occasionally both domestically and internationally.

Education and Experience Required:

  • BS or MS degree preferred in engineering
  • An MBA is helpful
  • 5+ years of work experience in the semiconductor industry in product development, engineering and product planning roles
