Williams-Sonoma, Inc. Senior Textile Designer PBTeen About the Team You will be an important part the PBTeen Textile Product Development team. We're a dynamic team that works collaboratively to create well designed, good value and great quality textile products for teen and dorm customers. Working on a seasonal basis with multiple concepts for our own brand, our collaboration partners and our licensors our job is to develop and deliver on time and trend relevant product. About the Role As Senior Textile Product Designer you will be reporting to our Design Director and will be responsible for all bedding, bath, sleepover and giftable products. You will be relied on to create and present seasonal product concept boards You're excited about this opportunity because you will... * Translate Trends into concepts that respond to business needs for PBTeen * Gather market data on key fashion trends considering elements such as fabrication, materials, color schemes and designs. Identify ideas to be developed. * Be able to work together with fellow designers, cross functional partners and vendors to bring our vision to life, working collaboratively to execute our creative strategy. * Learn, Contribute and Make a Difference within a small but dynamic team * Develop innovative designs from conception through to Predevelopment to final sample approval. We're excited about you because... * You are talented individual with proven design acumen * You are a driven, self-motivated and results orientated creative professional * You have excellent visual, verbal and written communications skills * You're highly organized and able to manage and prioritize multiple projects at once * You own deadlines and understand our sense of urgency but don't cut corners to get there * You're always be looking to improve process in order to work smarter * Technical Competencies required: * You have a Bachelor's degree in Textile Design or Surface Pattern (an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience may be considered) * Minimum 4 years product design and development experience * You are talented at drawing and painting original artwork, skilled at putting designs into repeat and creating beautiful colorways. * Creative and Inspirational thinker * Results and Deadline driven. * You have excellent computer skills including a thorough knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and photoshop. * Knowledge of PLM is a plus but not essential About Williams-Sonoma, Inc.
