Reporting to the Head of Marketing, Wealth and Asset Management (WAM) Canada, the Senior Marketing Manager/Marketing Manager is a high impact role that will enable our marketing transformation. As a member of the WAM Canada Marketing leadership team, the successful candidate will collaborate across Marketing as well as key business partners to understand current state marketing operations and gain input into the optimal target state. With a strong emphasis on innovation and customer centricity, this role requires a strong ambitious spirit to enable the individual to own, develop, prioritize the change efforts and provide leadership for implementation.

Key tenants of the mandate include:

• Work across Marketing and with key internal partners to develop policies, guidelines, procedures and governance to support Marketing transformation / objectives;
• The above will be developed with clear roles and responsibilities and a bias for minimal human “touches”;
• Responsible for detailing and educating end users on new operating model;
• Leading the implementation to target state

We’re looking for a detail oriented leader who roll up their sleeves to understand current state, develop recommendations and lead the implementation of those recommendations.

What type of work will I do?:

This leader will define the scope of the operating model changes required.

Process Review:

• Lead review of existing processes including vendor operating model, marketing intake requests, manual marketing material creation, ongoing maintenance and governance of marketing content.
• Facilitate process workshops that involve eliciting process requirements and liaising with internal and external partners.

Process Reengineering:

• Lead process reengineering to eliminate inefficiencies in current operating model, shifting from manual/repetitive to technology enabled processes, enabling compliance oversight and mitigating risk.

Documentation and Education:

• Documentation of new operating models developed
• Educate business users responsible for managing and operating business processes
• Develop and execute communication plans to effectively communicate change and obtain consensus

Budget Management

• Manage all change initiatives while adhering to budget & time constraints

Secondary responsibilities include supporting Product Marketing efforts

• Support the execution of product marketing campaigns
• Execute on production deliverables accurately, efficiently and adhere to campaign timelines

Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Competencies):

• 10+ years of marketing experience
• Experience in an investment related business
• Project management experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Passion for eliminating frictions and driving efficiencies
• Ability to engage and influence a wide range of partners, including key decision makers
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Sound business insight, judgment and decision-making
• Deep knowledge of how to get things done
• Ability to develop positive relationships around the organization
• Strong negotiation skills
