POSITION OVERVIEW This individual will fill a key role on the marketing team to maximize revenue and profitability. The successful candidate has extensive reporting and analytical experience and has done prior work in revenue management. This role requires the ability to span the entire spectrum from day to day tactical decision making and execution to longer term strategic recommendations and project management.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pricing:
- Manage pricing and inventory optimization strategy across all channels and segments; review and manage distribution (GDS/OTA) channel listing opportunities related to price, product information, promotions, etc.
- Execute the 14, 120, and 365 day strategy and forecast.
- Effectively communicate and execute Revenue Management strategies and tactics to all stakeholders.
- Chair weekly revenue meetings to present demand, supply, forecast, market conditions by market and overall. Recommend and execute pricing and availability strategies.
- Effectively evaluates past and future market demand by utilizing turndown, consumer, special events, and competitive intelligence.
- Coordinates pricing for special marketing & promotional programs.
- Consult with regional management to transfer knowledge in support of revenue maximization.
- Prepares month-end critiques and discusses results with a focus on continuous improvement of revenue maximization.
- Strategy and Effectiveness Reporting:
- Develop, track and report key performance metrics along with recommendations to drive and optimize revenue and profit.
- Analyze and research key growth & market opportunities and build go-to-market strategies.
- Monitor performance of recommended strategies, products and tests, creating dashboards and reports.
- Create and distribute dashboards and recurring reports that evaluate marketing program effectiveness and leverage available standard tools.
- Perform marketing campaign analysis and clear dissemination of results/insights to marketing team. This includes communications, targeted offers, media spend performance, new customer acquisition, customer loyalty (retention & frequency), lifetime value, results of any test performed, market research, channel attribution, and incrementally.
- Lead effort to develop analytical and technical systems
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASURES:

ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT:
- Reports to Director, Revenue Management and Marketing Effectiveness.
- Works cooperatively with marketing, fleet, BI, finance, operations, product & development.
QUALIFICATIONS/KSA’s:
- Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality, Business Management or related field. A Master's Degree is a plus.
- Three to five years of Revenue Management Experience in car rental, airlines or hotels.
- Expert in MS Excel, SQL, Looker BI Platform. Python a plus.
- Advanced Analytic Experience: Forecasting, Optimization, Elasticity.
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
- Project management experience.
- Self-motivated with the ability to multitask.
- Comfortable and flexible working in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive “can do” attitude and highly analytical; enjoys challenges.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Hands on ability to execute full life revenue management lifecycle on a daily basis including data management, base analytics, KPI tracking, competitive review, idea generation, recommendations, implementation and evaluation
- Ability to build price, segmentation, forecast and optimization analytics / scenarios from ground up and independently using Excel, Solver, Forecast Pro or other similar products
- Heavy reliance on and expert skillset in MySQL
- Willingness to own, develop, maintain and improve data sources including automating using MySQL or other tools
- Desire to work across marketing, operations or finance on ad hoc analytics projects
