RESEARCH ANALYST-PRICING & PORTFOLIO –MUMBAI (CHINCHPOKLI)


ABOUT THIS JOB


Nielsen Pricing & Portfolio (P&P) is uniquely qualified to serve as our clients’ pricing research partner. We have different services to address different pricing needs backed up by significant price consulting experience with global reach as well local presence. We provide robust business forecasts and actionable consulting by aligning our models to actual in-market data. P&P modeling team provides end-to-end analytical support to its internal clients, from consulting on methodology and study design to data estimation using state of the art discrete choice models as well as providing model insights. Our service offerings evolve continuously to better address client objectives and we provide the technical assistance required to realize these developments.


RESPONSIBILITIES
 Work on advanced data analysis, typically quantitative in nature. For example. Discrete choice models which includes Nielsen propriety models and custom conjoint techniques.
 Understand project objectives, help client teams with study designs, running the models, building up the simulator and sharing model insights.
 Build knowledge of specialized techniques pertinent to product area.
 Assist the development and implementation of a new statistical model and improvement of existing model.

You’ve dabbled in data. You’ve perused Analytics. And you have the communication chops to translate it all into conversation or presentations. While you’ve worked with global cross-functional teams, you can also put your head down and focus on independent projects. Seeing the big picture takes attention to detail. Keeping up with the fast-changing world of digital media measurement takes someone who recognizes that. You know what’s happening in big data and you’re ready to influence what’s next.


QUALIFICATIONS
 Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Operation’s Research or a related quantitative field
 Up to 1 year of experience in data analysis will be preferred
 Mandatory : Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & R programming
 Preferable: Knowledge of any other software like SPSS, Python, etc.
 Ability to articulate technical concepts in an easy-to-understand manner
 Proactively communicate updates on project status and timelines
 Analytical thinking
 Interpersonal and leadership skills, ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a global team.
 Organization, planning & multi-tasking skills.
