About Our Site

Our Rydalmere site is home to over 500 employees working across Ground Transportation Systems, Maritime and Secure Communication & Information Systems. With an onsite subsidised cafeteria, well equipped gymnasium and free onsite parking our Rydalmere facility is conveniently located close to Parramatta and Ryde. There are also ferry, bus and train stations within easy walking distance.

Bid Coordinator

As a Bid Coordinator at Thales you’ll be at the heart of a fast paced exciting team. You’ll support and co-ordinate activities for multiple stakeholders in the Ground Transportation and Secure Communications businesses. You’ll enjoy varied days during bid phases with the opportunity to travel. You’ll work in a dynamic environment and be provided with coaching and mentoring allowing you to develop and grow in your career.

What you’ll do

  • Provide support and coordination for the bid team in the bid process from opportunity capture through to bid-project handover; co-ordinating team meetings, conferences, activities and events
  • You’ll work with Bid Managers to assist with the organisation, preparation and management of key bids; including development and distribution of tender responses and materials - managing customer requests, preparation and distribution of tender documents and submission of the bid
  • You’ll support internal governance processes, and coordination of bid tools and templates
  • Manage and update the bid library, bid calendar, bid newsletter and provide reporting as well as other general support to the team.

You are:

  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office suite, Word in particular – creating templates and editing documents
  • A great planner, having excellent organisational and time management skills
  • An excellent writer
  • A team player, thriving in a collaborative environment
  • Confident and mature, acting as an ambassador for Thales
  • A self-starter with the ability to work autonomously during downtime
  • Comfortable with a flexible working pattern

You may have a qualification or experience in:

  • Business Administration
  • Legal & Commercial
  • Pricing
  • Project management
  • Engineering.

Special Requirements

As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.
You will also clear a pre-employment police check.
Travel to Sydney Olympic Park & Canberra, ability to work flexibly due to the nature of bid work.
