Multimedia Developer
Description
Purpose of the position
The purpose of this role is to join the Multimedia team of developers to help build our next generation of interactive presentations and tools
Core tasks and responsibilities
- The Multimedia Developer is responsible for conceptualization and implementation of design solutions from concept to completion
- Development of online interactive learning objects (single page web applications) that incorporate various media (e.g., audio, video, animations)
- Help define the visual experience of our digital products in an online environment with a focus on experiences for the learner.
- Create high fidelity, interactive prototypes that engage and delight the end user
Key relationships
- Impacts a range of project, operational and customer processes and activities within own team
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
- Exchanges complex information such as advising internal and/or external clients on area of expertise
- Negotiates resources within team and may negotiate across teams to agree common objectives
- Maintains effective relationships within own and related areas

Experience
- Communicates highly complex information to colleagues in a way that can be easily understood
- Helps to ensure the quality of the tasks and advice provided by self and others
- Demonstrates understanding of how own area integrates within the wider Line of Business, Geography, or Enabling Function
- Solves problems by identifying and selecting solutions using acquired technical expertise
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years multimedia development experience, including experience developing assets for digital products
- You have demonstrable experience working with JavaScript, and you are able to build web applications from design specifications with some assistance.
- You are familiar with major web APIs such as jQuery, Angular, and Bootstrap.js
- You have experience developing web applications for multiple devices, including desktops, laptops, and tablets.
- Experience of project management in a multi-disciplined and commercial environment
- Basic HTML and web skills essential.
- Thorough understanding of information architecture principles and practices
- Knowledge of Microsoft and Google business applications preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS), Educational Management Systems, or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with SAFe Agile principles
