This position is for an entry-level Program Management professional. Contributes to elements of small/medium programs and the negotiation of contracts, demonstrates continuous improvement, presents progress reports, and works to solve program problems.
Communication Solutions, in particular, Data Link Products continue to be a catalyst for new business growth with large multi-year contracts that need managing and some of our biggest pursuit opportunities on the horizon. Being part of the program support specialists team allows you to also be an integral team member of the program management office contributing to the continued success of the business and to start developing the skill set required to support the Program Managers in these opportunities.
This position is responsible for supporting the Data Link Solutions LCVSM team in all activities associated with the pursuit, order, capture, and execution of existing and future programs.
This position will provide support to DLS Product Line Managers for continued product production, with an emphasis on managing obsolescence, builds, and customer deliveries. The remaining focus will be on supporting the program execution teams with a variety of activities such as: inventory reconciliation, risk management, factory support, RFP support, customer cadences, contribute in decision point and execution meetings to ensure output plans support customer demand/sales and are aligned to the Data Link Products sales plans, and all levels of coordination with the core program team.
The ideal candidate should have a thorough understanding of the SAP processes associated with order entry, status of factory hardware delivery forecasts, and shipping of multiple products aggregated and delivered as a system. The candidate should be familiar with Rockwell Collins Management Authorization Process (RC-MAP) and capable of supporting the Program Managers in the generation of the Decision Point artifacts, data analysis for sales forecasts, ensuring resources such as engineering, engineering support, production, services, facilities, etc are available for the program. This position coordinates activities across the RCI shared services business model and requires collaborative working relationships with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Contracts, Order Administration, Subcontracts, Quality, Finance, and Services and will require external customer interface. External customer interface contacts are typically first level program management, engineering, and procurement agents.
