Nielsen are recruiting for a Digital Ad Ratings (DAR) Product Specialist to support client education, usage and sales of our Digital Ad Ratings solution in Australia.
The DAR Product Specialist serves as a subject matter expert for Nielsen DAR. The DAR Product Specialist drives client awareness of DAR’s value, competitive distinction, and technical enablement through presentations, data driven analysis and client tailored engagement. Through these activities this individual inspires preference, adoption and support DAR opportunities in close partnership with Nielsen’s DAR Commercial Lead.
As a Digital Ad Ratings Product Specialist you will:
- Operate as an extension of Product Managers with deep expertise on digital products, methodology, and roadmap.
- Provide deep expertise on Nielsen’s DAR product, as well as conversational expertise in related products (DCR, TAR, TCR).
- Coordinate feature approval and deployment with Product Marketing, Sales Operations for key product features, replatforming and methodology changes (webinars, FAQ's, training / tools, commercial engagement).
- Represent and synthesise comprehensive voice of client for a given vertical, serving as a key partner to product managers (as needed) as they lead product development and a distilled voice for business context and value proposition for the cross-functional sub-pod teams
- Own all strategic client engagement on behalf of Product, while commercial and other support teams can handle other "business as usual" client management- i.e. 101 product overviews and pitches, product enhancement overviews
- Apply a Product lens on RFP/RFIs to approve and lend expertise
- As needed, author and build business cases for new product features / launches, including go to market, adoption expectations, KPI's and revenue
- Build expertise in relevant Product vs. Media Analytics capabilities, such that consultative client support leverages both MA and production measurement
- Engage with Operations for understanding product adoption and usage
- Allocate time each month (as needed) with client service and operations to inform of product enhancements, as well as proactively soliciting feedback
- Be responsible for participating in product UAT environments for change testing prior to release; as well as participating in sprint reviews.
- Support commercial teams with DAR training.
- Partner closely with global Digital Product Specialists to share knowledge and expertise and ensure a connection between US and AU.
About You:
- Bachelor's degree with a concentration in media, marketing, or communications.
- 1.5 to 2 years of media experience within an agency or advertiser.
- Understanding of the digital marketplace and the media ecosystem.
- Experience across tagging technologies for campaigns and across advertising platforms.
- Interpersonal skills, building relationships with clients and internal stakeholders and effectively communicating at multiple levels. Ability to self-learn proactively, self-start and be self-sufficient.
- Knowledge sharing is important as it leads to building trust and stronger stakeholder management which is key to this role.
- Ability to identify business needs or gaps and diagnosing the “what” and the “how” to resolve.
- Problem-solving skills: listen to the client’s desires and concerns, then recommend solutions.
- Strong presentation skills, storytelling skills (connecting the "what" to the "so what”).
- Communication skills, including informal messaging and engagement. Active listening, presentation, great writing and verbal communication are critical for this role.
- Preferred knowledge/experience with Nielsen digital tools: Ad Ratings and Content Ratings.
