The Business Process Consultant-FI/CO will be a member of our Solution Delivery Center (SDC) organization. The SDC is the integrated, remote delivery arm of SAP consulting services, with strength of over 2000 team members. From our nearshore and offshore centers, our global talent pool of consultants delivers software and services to our customers through both factory and traditional people-based approaches. Our team drives value and continuous improvement for our customers using operationally sound processes and basic quality system fundamentals. Providing our consultant’s training, certification, and skill expansion opportunities are key priorities to our organization’s success and long-term employee career growth within the SDC.

We are growing a Pittsburgh-based nearshore center to expand our delivery capabilities within the North American region. Our desire is to provide SAP’s customers access to the best global network of consultants with expertise in SAP’s latest technologies. The Pittsburgh nearshore center will be a sophisticated Service & Knowledge organization providing unique capabilities to SAP’s customers in North America and around the globe.

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

Work on customer facing project implementations as an FI/CO consultant from the SAP Pittsburgh Solution Delivery center.

Position Summary:

As a Business Process Consultant-FI/CO, you will facilitate the implementation and support of the SAP S/4HANA, S/4HANA Cloud, and SAP S/4HANA Central Finance solutions to enhance the customers’ business functionality and overall performance, while maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction. In addition, you will partner with customers to analyze and define business requirements, processes and objectives to scope project and deliverables for same. As a consultant, you will implement, customize and test solutions on customer systems or in the SAP public cloud. Develop customer-specific enhancements to meet business requirements, as well assist customers in achieving their Digital Transformation vision and Best-Run Business capability from their SAP and other IT investments.

• Undergraduate degree (Finance or Accounting emphasis preferred),
• A minimum of 5 years SAP consulting and/or SAP IT analyst experience with at least at least 1 end-to-end FI/CO implementation desired
• Proven experience in hands-on configuring, testing, and supporting SAP Finance solutions
• General knowledge of SAP Finance solution; certification in SAP FI/CO modules a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Financial Accounting and Managerial Accounting processes and best practices
• Ability to participate in complex and interactive solutioning workshops
• Overview knowledge of Implementation Methodologies (Agile or traditional Waterfall (cascade)) and use of implementation tools such as SAP Activate a plus.
• Basic knowledge of the integration of S/4HANA Finance and Cost Management digital core with other Products such as Treasury and Risk Management, BPC, Ariba, Concur
• Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation
• Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills; ability discuss strategies and technical information in a manner that establishes rapport, persuades others, and establishes understanding for technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and S/4HANA Cloud is highly desired, but core ECC knowledge is acceptable.
• Working knowledge of SAP Fiori applications a plus
• Experience working directly for a large consulting company a plus
• Identify, extract, and share knowledge assets from SAP S/4HANA and S/4HANA Cloud projects with the internal Finance Consulting Practice and the Global SDC team
• Liaise with global offshore team; assist with building an integrated delivery model
• Intermittent Weekend and Holidays on-call duty may be required to support customer go lives
• 30%-60% travel is required

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Manage customer communication and expectations throughout engagement
• Leverage industry and SAP reference architectures (Example: Value Assurance Model Company)
• Support the internal Finance Consulting Practice with pre-sales support, spot consulting and internal projects and commit to the success of customers, partners, colleagues, and SAP
• Customer liaison role troubleshooting (investigate, analyze, and resolve) software defects
• Assist with analyzing and mapping customers’ business requirements, processes and objectives into the SAP S/4HANA and SAP S/4HANA Cloud
• Assist with identifying and designing necessary development objects to satisfy customers’ business process needs including producing detailed specifications of business requirements
• Active role in data gathering for the implementation
• Provide ongoing support of Cloud-based and on-premise products
• Implement processes across all related applications (SAP/non-SAP)
• Design solutions for implementation issues
