Centralized Transaction Operations (CTO), which is aligned under Consumer and Community Banking, provides a wide range of global operational support and services for retail, commercial, treasury, asset wealth management and credit card customers. This is a critical time in the banking industry, as it is undergoing rapid change caused by the digital revolution and the rapidly evolving demands of consumers. As the digital revolution impacts the firm, Image Services is transforming our business to stay ahead of the change and to exceed customer expectations. To accomplish this objective, we have established the iVault Document Archive product team that is responsible for the strategic direction, governance and execution of the strategy behind ensuring the firm has a suite of superior document management solutions to meet the needs of all lines of business.

Role Description

This role is an Area Product Owner supporting the iVault product channel strategy for the JPMC Document Management Center of Excellence. This role is part of growing product team focused on balancing business, technology, and design priorities to deliver brand-defining document archiving product and service experiences. The position requires the ability to clearly understand the strategic vision for this channel and provide focus on the day-to-day details in order to ensure tactical execution.

The Area Product Owner is a key resource in ensuring delivery of the product’s roadmap initiatives and engaging with the agile teams within the iVault product. The work will span the entire delivery process from assisting with identification of areas for improvement, to more detailed work in authoring user stories, working closely with technical leads/scrum teams to ensure the solution effectively addresses experience priorities while maintaining technical integrity, and overseeing tactical execution of efforts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct strategic thinking and develop an approach and structure analyses required to achieve key deliverables for one of the iVault Document Archive domains
  • Facilitate sprint planning with stakeholder groups to drive alignment and visibility for which features will be built when, and to ensure overall adherence to the product roadmap and enterprise strategic themes
  • Maintain the team software backlog of features and user stories and assist in determining sprint priorities aligned to larger experience journey priorities and vision with iVault Document Management strategy
  • Effectively manage senior management relationships; facilitate effective communication; and work with the senior management team to assess needs, understand requirements and syndicate solutions
  • Understand the landscape of best practices and benchmarking that create new opportunities to add value
  • Actively invest in building the team, including recruiting, staffing/deployment decisions, performance management, etc.
  • Consistently manage the team to drive analysis of end user experience feedback and track relevant metrics to ensure accountability
  • Partner with technology lead to manage Chase’s relationship with third-party vendors providing archiving solutions
  • Lead the annual budgetary planning process for the specific Domain
  • Deliver new product enhancements and offerings by working directly with technology, business and operations partners to define efforts, write requirements and assisting in overall project management, risk management and organizational readiness activities
  • Update leadership on the Epic and Feature delivery schedule including dependencies impacting deliverables, along with recommended solutions
  • Monitor systems production health and act swiftly when issues arise that may impact customer experience or the business
  • Ensure the delivery team understands the vision and direction for the Product/platform

Degree preferred : BA/BS degree

Work experience : 5+ years of product management experience. Experience with document management solutions, knowledge of financial services and regulations, experience with processes and tools supporting Agile methodologies (2+ years desired)

Problem solving skills : Passionate problem solver and critical thinker with exceptional analytical skills and the ability to scope and define complex problems, apply analytical tools, gain and synthesize insights, and develop solutions

Solution-oriented : Manage ambiguity and drive answers to solutions

Client management skills : Advanced ability to closely partner with senior and line managers and other stakeholders on projects, with very strong influencing skills to make projects successful

Strategic implementation skills : Ability to apply strategic thinking/approaches to ensure effective design and delivery; experience partnering with multiple groups (IT, operations, marketing, finance, etc.) to define and execute on a roadmap

Communications skills: Strong written and oral executive-level communications skills, eager to deliver outstanding service

Entrepreneurial spirit : Demonstrated track record of being a self-starter that seeks to break the status quo and initiate change, a daptable to a fast changing environment
