Revenue Assurance Data Analyst

What you’ll be doing...

Under minimal supervision, this position performs quantitative and qualitative modeling including the design, development, implementation and validation of robust global Revenue Assurance audits and tools. This position also performs relatively complex financial auditing, issue research and resolution, strategic project support, analytical assignments, and designs reporting as an Individual Contributor. The majority of the functions performed will be to support the daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly audit functions within the billing revenue stream. Supports company efforts to comply with the requirements of Sarbanes Oxley.

• Assists in the creation and continued support of internal analytics queries and databases to ensure actionable outcomes for analysis and reporting.
• Turns large volumes of data into actionable insight for the business to reduce claim resolution time, decrease Days Sale Outstanding (DSO) and outstanding A/R.
• Reviews and understands complex platform framework and system-to-system data flow in context to product/functionality enhancements and how they impact billing.
• Interprets raw data and translates into quantitative analysis used for trend identification and productivity reporting.
• Continually broadens and strengthens financial audits and controls within the ACM model.
• Leads cross-functional, high-value, complex projects and interfaces with system architects and program developers to participate in knowledge/best practice sharing opportunities.
• In a subject matter expert capacity, provides technical and analytical support to resolve a wide variety of complex system issues and architectural design gaps.
• Performs production audit tasks/functions in order to support the needs of the business and to stay up-to-speed on existing audit processes and procedures.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Three or more years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in Teradata and Oracle database environments and Structured Query Language (SQL).
• Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook).
• Project management experience.

Even better if you have:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Computer Science.
• Proficiency in the use of Talend, Tableau, SQL Developer, Toad Data Point, iGrafx and/or similar tools.
• Experience within the technology and communications industries.
• An in-depth understanding of Verizon systems, products and services.
