The Chick-fil-A Senior Software Engineering role will allow you to grow in a fast-paced dynamic environment solving high-impact problems using code. In the role, you’ll rotate through building various products working with different engineering lead mentors, cultivating skills in a team-oriented environment. You will be expected to be a thought leader and key contributor to your team and its product, not only through completing complex tasks with minimal supervision but also through assisting with design, reviewing the contributions of others, spurring innovation, and influencing aspects of the product like quality, reliability, and security.

Here are a few sample rotations which give you a feel for the types of products you might help build:

• Enabling our customers to skip the line by building our CFA One app
• Automating our restaurants by programming IoT devices for our kitchens
• Developing systems to make our restaurants the safest place to eat
• Equipping our restaurant Operators with a mobile app for operating their restaurant

Responsibilities

• Serve as a model developer in programming languages like Go, Java, Python, and JavaScript, adept in frameworks like Spring, Flask, Angular, and React
• Have broad capabilities in a variety of such languages and frameworks as well as deep expertise in at least one language and framework or other areas like computer vision, machine learning, mobile development, quality, SRE, or UI/UX
• Exercise skills related to AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD to help the overall team and improve the overall engineering quality of the team’s product

Note - Working in a DevOps model, this opportunity includes both building and running solutions that could require off-hours support. This support is shared amongst the team members to cover weekends and weeknights.

Minimum Qualifications

• Broad and deep programming experience in Java, JavaScript, Python, or other comparable languages
• Experience with SQL and data modeling
• Experience with source control systems like Git or Subversion
• Experience implementing application security, software design patterns, and the SDLC
• Good interpersonal and team collaboration skills
• Willing to travel up to 5%

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
• Experience with Unix/Linux
