About Our Site

Our Eagle Farm site is the beating heart of operations for Thales' range of protected vehicles, which protect Australian soldiers in the field. At this site we provide a range of offering engineering and general maintenance services to ensure our soldiers remain safe. Our team of 140 have an unrivalled passion for what we do, our Support operations are pivotal to the ongoing success of both our Bushmaster and Hawkei platforms.

Our Opportunity

Our Protected Vehicles business is currently seeking an experience Warehousing Storeperson to join our team in Eagle Farm, Queensland. Reporting to our Warehouse Manager, this varied role will see you carrying out a variety of stores/warehousing tasks, primarily in support of Bushmaster vehicles and our customer base.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that all spares orders are picked and packed in accordance standards and customer requirements, and ensuring customer order due dates are achieved
• Supporting the maintenance team in picking parts required for maintenance orders
• Conducting regular cycle counts and participating in required stocktakes
• Rotating product subject to shelf life efficiently to reduce wastage
• Data entry and the maintaining of accurate data records

About You

• Current Forklift License essential , MR License desirable
• Intermediate computer skills
• Strong interpersonal, organisation and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work together in the achievement of desired business outcomes
• Attention to detail, problem solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement
• Demonstrated proactive attitude in relation to HSE policies and procedures

Special Requirements

As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.

International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.

You will also need to successfully clear a pre-employment medical and police check.
