What You’ll Do
- Expand Mapbox’s business into Automakers and Automotive OEMs and Tier 1 Suppliers
- Build upon your existing network of automotive players to identify, qualify, and close business opportunities
- Act as our first contact with new potential customers and partners, owning the relationship from start to finish
- Package up our building blocks for the auto industry and inform Mapbox product design and strategy teams to help define our products as we grow into this industry
- Apply deep product understanding to influence decision-makers in the industry, guide go-to-market strategy, and help shape Mapbox core product roadmap
- Synthesize workflows with Marketing, Customer Success, and Sales to scale our business
- Identify, promote and present Mapbox at industry events
- Role location: Munich, Germany
What We Believe are Important Traits for This Role
- Experience selling connected car software or services to the automotive market, such as ADAS, autonomous driving, or connected dashboard services in navigation, mapping, infotainment
- 5+ years of quota-carrying sales experience, developing and closing multi-million dollar strategic deals with major auto players (Ford, GM, Toyota), as well as major Tier 1 OEM Suppliers (Delphi and Magna)
- Portfolio of brand names in the world of automotive that has lead to significant value and revenue creation for a business in growth-mode
- Comfortable in selling, marketing and translating very complex, technical products to R&D teams as well as a variety of customer audiences that partner closely with these product and technical teams
