Role

This is a hands-on role that provides support in the areas of employee relations, workforce planning, coaching/development, employee engagement, conflict management and ad hoc projects as necessary. Responsibilities

  • Work in close partnership with HR Partners and HR Manager to be a credible activist for your clients, your team and our mission. Exert influence to create positive change and proactively mitigate and resolve employee issues.
  • Partner effectively with HR Partners and HR specialist groups including Learning & Development, Employee Relations, Recruiting, HR Operations, Payroll and Compensation.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and assess improvements to the employee experience and partner with management to develop and implement innovative and lasting solutions.
  • Be a leader throughout Tesla. Advise, mentor/coach and guide employees and front-line leaders to develop positive employee engagement capability and leadership skills.
  • Build credibility and trust among employees. Act as front-line HR Partner to resolve employee concerns. Responsible for adhering to a systematic approach, with clear documentation and follow-through.
  • In partnership with leaders and HR Partners, develop workforce plans that ensure our success for the long term.
  • Ensure proper staffing of the production line to minimize impact of PTO, absenteeism, LOA, and training
  • Track and maintain all staffing numbers, titles, and assignments; ensure data is accurate across all systems used by Production, Finance, HR, and temp agencies
  • Perform periodic audits; drive prompt corrections and accountability

  • Coordinate transfer requests between shifts and lines based on business need, skillset, ergonomics, and preference
  • Work with Recruiting, Finance, and Production to coordinate recruiting targets
  • Coordinate with HR/Compensation/Recruiting on assignments for LOA, Light Duty, Modified Duty, and Restricted Duty
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in relevant work experience.
  • Experience objectively coaching employees through difficult issues.
  • General familiarity with federal, state and local laws and statutes for employment.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively partner with all levels of the organization and positively influence teams.
  • Proven planning and organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication; must be a clear, concise and persuasive communicator.
  • Workday experience preferred.
  • Evidence of exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in language other than English preferable
