Job Description

The Role:

As an Associate Product Manager on the Finished Vehicle logistics team, you will focus on our mobile application, and the primary users of that application. You will elevate and improve finished vehicle logistics operations and processes to be simplified and standardized across the globe. Mobile-first being one of the team goals, you will support our product development efforts, working with team members to define and execute roadmaps, working cross-functionally to develop, test, and release technology that will be critical to enabling Tesla to scale. Leveraging strong level of partnering, you will be empowered to make big decisions, take risks and lead the logistics operations in new and exciting directions.

Responsibilities:

· Conduct requirements analysis and research, applying structured critical thinking to evaluate business requirements and possible process and technology solutions.

· Work as a partner alongside operational teams to define, document, and generate ideas for improving operational processes; create documentation where none exists, improve existing documentation, and extract and synthesize institutional knowledge.

· Work cross-functionally with sales, service, delivery, logistics, engineering, and other organizations to define feature plans and experiments; test and iterate to drive operational excellence.

· Support analytical projects and data visualizations; demonstrate a data-driven approach to driving and overseeing new feature development.

· Write product specifications and iterate with other PM’s, designers, engineers and other stakeholders; write development tickets, conduct user acceptance testing, define scenarios and contribute to release notes and broader communications.

· Conduct research and technical due diligence, identifying cutting edge technologies that can mitigate and support critical operational needs.

· Define and develop testing plans, working alongside product managers and engineers to conduct structured analysis and rigorous product testing.

· Define, track and improve key product metrics.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.

· Demonstrated focus or experience in computer science, supply chain, mathematics, or operations.

· Passion and expertise for different types of technologies.

· Highly data driven to make informed product decisions.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with technical team members is essential.

· Experience or capacity to build models, query data in SQL, and conduct rigorous quantitative analysis.

· Patient and thoughtful; ability to be a self-starter, perform under pressure and simultaneously manage multiple priorities.

· Previous product or operations experience is a plus
