By integrating data and applications, SAP Concur delivers an effortless experience and total transparency into spend wherever and whenever it happens.
The calculation of spend taxes and its reclaim possibilities within country specific tax regulations and laws is an important topic in the spend area. The goal is the correct posting of spend taxes to financial systems of customers at the end of an expense report or invoice process. As a cloud software development department within SAP in location St.Leon-Rot, we are contributing to development in SAP Concur Travel and Expenses.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
You will work together with a great team of experienced and engaged cross-functional and diverse development experts in designing new features and re-architecting existing ones in the area of spend tax calculation.

• Design and develop code to scale to increasing numbers of users: The biggest corporate Expense tool is growing, and our product needs to scale along with our customers.
• Ensure a high software quality by designing, developing and executing manual and automated tests suites.
• Help resolve customer impacting issues in production: Provide the technical knowledge and analysis to find root cause and resolve service outages.
• Ensure smoothly service operations
• Continuously learn and self-develop

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Required skills

• University degree in computer science, engineering or similar area
• Qualified IT Specialist
• Good knowledge of software design and development process
• Strong programming knowledge of JAVA and / or JavaScript
• Openness to work in a Java environment containing different technical platforms
• Readiness to work across all technology layers from UI to persistence layer
• Very good communication skills in both German and English (oral, written)
• Take over responsibility for DevOps tasks and on-call schedules coming with additional compensation

Preferred skills

• Knowledge about development tools like Jenkins, Eclipse, Ansible, Artifactory, Maven, Gradle, Kibana, Amazon Web Services environment
• Practical experience with SQL
• Know-how in SaaS, Cloud Software Development and in development of complex software solutions
• Practical experience with PaaS providers, preferred Amazon Web Services
• Knowledge in operating a service and in test automation development
• Good understanding of Agile Development
• Application Know-how in Travel and Expense Management
