About the Role
In this impactful role you will hunt, court, and close excellent technical talent with diverse skillsets spanning Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Sensor development, Embedded Software Development and more. You will collaborate closely with our head of recruiting, the company co-founders, hiring leads/managers, and engineers to help us meet our bold hiring goals. We are building an elite team in an environment that cares deeply about its people.
About the Work
- Handle multiple, concurrent technical searches from inception to close.
- Demonstrate creative research and sourcing strategies to seek out and engage coveted, top-tier talent.
- Craft compelling messaging for job postings and candidate communications, to attract passive candidates from highly competitive markets.
- Conduct deep fact-finding at inception of searches to understand the search needs, identify a sourcing strategy, and align the hiring panel on the assessment criteria.
- Be diligent in holding to our high hiring bar and in seeking out the right fit for both Nuro and job seekers we interview from a skillset and culture perspective.
- Vigilantly track recruiting activity via our application tracking system (Greenhouse) and report on progress on an ongoing basis.
- Partner with the recruiting team on planning, implementation, and adoption of new and existing programs, tools, workflows to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of our process.
About You
- You are a hunter, skilled at creatively sourcing and interesting highly coveted, passive engineering talent without relying on databases, external platforms, or job boards.
- You are experienced and have minimum of 3-5 years experience working in-house at one or more hyper growth technology companies, ideally a start-up.
- You are discerning and thrive in environments with a stratospheric hiring bar from both a functional/skillset and culture perspective.
- You are an engaging people person with strong communication skills and the nature ability to quickly build rapport and trust.
- You are a hustler. You are self-motivated and adept at prioritizing and driving multiple concurrent searches simultaneously.
- You are intellectually curious with the ability to grasp new technical concepts quickly and converse credibly with engineering experts.
- You have integrity and a strong work ethic.
