Position Purpose: Improve systems & equipment reliability on assigned process, reduce system/equipment downtime on assigned process & support operation of assigned process.
Accountabilities: - Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures in performance of assigned duties.
- Support the development & establishment of maintenance procedures, maintenance plans & spare parts lists for processes assigned.
- Perform corrective & preventative maintenance on assigned process in a timely manner.
- Ability to interpret mechanical & electrical specifications, drawings & other technical data sheets.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, night shifts, extended shifts and/or weekends.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are correctly documented in SAP.
- Partner with process owners to actively improve performance & reliability of process equipment.
- Contribute to growth & development of the maintenance team by training fellow technicians in areas of expertise, as well as learning new systems.
- Use Systematic Problem Solving (SPS) tools to establish Root Cause Analysis & resolve equipment issues.
- Suggest practical changes or improvements to equipment & department work practices.
- Collaborate with Responsible Engineers & Manufacturing personnel to troubleshoot equipment problems.
- Other accountabilities, as assigned.
Required Education: AA/AS/AAS degree in relevant field or equivalent military/industry training, which includes a thorough understanding of mechanical, electrical & control systems.
Experience: Maintenance Tech I minimum requirements: - One (1) year of relevant work experience. (required)
- Regulated industry & solid dose manufacturing experience preferred.
Maintenance Tech II minimum requirements: - Five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing industry. (required)
- Three (3) years of regulated industry & solid dose manufacturing experience. (required)
Maintenance Tech III minimum requirements: - Eight (8) years of experience in a manufacturing industry. (required)
- Five (5) years of regulated industry & solid dose manufacturing experience. (required)
Technical/Process/Functional Knowledge: Maintenance Tech I minimum requirements: - Ability to read, write & understand technical documentation, SOP’s, Maintenance Plans, PM’s, work orders.
- Understanding of schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs & other technical documentation.
- Computer literacy.
- Experience with automated record systems such as SAP.
Maintenance Tech II minimum requirements: - Demonstrated experience in executing equipment troubleshooting, preventative and predictive maintenance. (required)
- Demonstrated ability to train new hires on maintenance processes & technical documentation (SOPs & PMs, SAP).
- Demonstrated proficiency in three (3) or more of processes listed in the Process Alignment list above.
Maintenance Tech III minimum requirements: - Demonstrated experience in leading equipment troubleshooting, preventative and predictive maintenance, root cause analysis. (required)
- Demonstrated ability to train & mentor team members on maintenance processes & technical documentation (SOPs & PMs, SAP). (required)
- Demonstrated proficiency in five (5) or more of processes listed in the Process Alignment list above. (required)
Physical & Other Requirements: - Occasionally moves equipment and/or supplies weighing up to 50 pounds within the facility using various body positions.
- Routinely operates & inspects manufacturing equipment using hands.
- Ability to be on feet for up to a 12-hour shift.
- Corrected vision to 20/30.
- Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder to service equipment & ability to work atop elevated positions.
- Occasionally works around odorous and/or hazardous materials. May be required to wear latex gloves.
- Occasionally performs critical job functions in extremely cold work environments.
- Occasionally positions self within confined spaces for inspection, repair & maintenance of equipment.
- Able to work in loud noise environments with hearing protection.
- Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions.
- Ability to pass a driving exam for powered industrial trucks.
