Position Summary

The Program Manager, Technology & Analytics Talent Management (EMEA) will provide leadership and support, with the assistance of the Global/Regional HR and Local HR teams for staff programs including integration and professional development for ADAPT, AAG, and related teams. Primary responsibility is for Berlin & Munich office staff with additional responsibility for staff in EMEA Spoke Offices.

The individual will also need to build strong working relationships with EMEA regional Department leaders of ADAPT and AAG. Also with relevant members of Global Talent Acquisition and Local Recruiting teams and New Ways of Working (NWoW) Champions across the EMEA region. Collaboration with other internal functions (e.g., Global Training) will also be essential.

Essential Functions

  • Invest in people development for Technology & Analytics Group across EMEA region
    • Work closely with EMEA regional Department leaders of ADAPT and AAG, Global/Regional HR team, and Local HR teams
    • Partner with Local HR teams across EMEA region to align on roles and responsibilities as new Technology & Analytics Group employees are hired into offices across EMEA region
    • Work with appropriate HR team members across region to ensure processes are run effectively related to onboarding, training, reviews, and PD (e.g., ensure new hires are invited to relevant onboarding programs, such as pre-NCT and consultant bootcamps)
    • Work with regional TAG leadership and local offices to assign TAG new hires with client-facing mentor; be a resource to mentor on how to coach new talent populations effectively (in collaboration with and alignment to NWoW)
    • Assess learning and development needs of ADAPT, AAG, and related teams, taking input from industry benchmarks and Bain team demands; work with offices to ensure TAG employees are invited to relevant activities (e.g., product/practice trainings, social events)
    • Measure success of talent programs via KPIs for employee NPS, engagement, and retention
    • Deploy and assess employee feedback/morale leveraging existing Bain pulse-check tools
    • Capture insights from data and prioritize problems/opportunities to address within EMEA
  • Manage and deliver process improvement initiatives across the talent lifecycle, including:
    • Onboarding: Planning for new hire, building onboarding plan with practice/capability leads
    • Integration: Managing initial staffing allocations; engaging in frequent check-ins with expert, RPL/PL, and case team leadership to manage expectations and provide continuous feedback loop
    • Professional development (PD): make time available to Technology & Analytics Group employees in Germany and across EMEA; getting to know them and their development objectives and needs
  • Reinforce Bain culture and enhance the employee experience across the Technology & Analytics Group
    • Support an inclusive, one-Bain culture across all teams that also recognizes distinct needs of technical staff
    • Develop/replicate/reinforce Bain’s culture and operating principles within these teams, especially within ADAPT, AAG, and related teams as well as future acquisitions.
    • Review and recommend connectivity levers across the employee lifecycle (e.g., during integration, ongoing formal communications and affiliation efforts)
  • Lead planning and execution for Talent/People integration activities related to Technology & Analytics Group M&A within EMEA region
    • Work collaboratively with Technology & Analytics Group’s Corporate Development team, Global/Regional HR, and other M&A integration resources across Bain & Company
  • Bring the ‘Best of Bain Talent Management’ to the startup environment within the Technology & Analytics Group – all in collaboration with Department Leadership of ADAPT and AAG, Global/Regional HR, Local HR, NWoW, and other key stakeholders.

Required

· Bachelor’s degree required

Preferred

· Bachelor’s degree in a technical/quantitative field

· Graduate degree in Business Administration or HR

Required

· 5-10 years of HR/talent management experience for a professional services firm

· Experience managing office/region talent process

Preferred

· 5-10 years of experience in a technical function or within a technology focused corporation

· Strong business acumen; previous experience working in consulting is ideal

Required

· Outstanding interpersonal, written/verbal communication, and customer service skills

· Excellent project management skills

· Flexibility with work schedule; ability and willingness to work across EMEA time zones

· Flexibility with work locations; ability and willingness to travel across EMEA region offices

Preferred

· Knowledge of and personal interest in technology and

· Ability to communicate in additional EMEA region languages is a plus (i.e. German, Italian, etc.)
