Supply Chain Intern

Job Description

Trimble is looking for a Supply Chain Intern to work in our Americas Regional Fulfillment Center. This position will be working in our Dayton, Ohio location and is for the Summer of 2020. • Warehouse Management System (WMS) system optimization activities
• Data integrity
• Item weights and dimensions □
• Locator
• Dimensional volume
• Putaway sequencing
• Pick sequencing
• Time studies
• Batch picking v. standard picking
  

Material Review Board (MRB)/Return Material Authorization (RMA) system optimization

• Assist in processing material and identify process improvement opportunities
  

Inventory control

• Assist in cycle count process
• Root cause investigation on missing material
  

Shipping quality study

• Collect data on actual weights v. packing list weights to identify errors
  

Skills & Experience Required

• Currently pursuing a degree in Operations/Supply Chain Management, or Industrial Engineering
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating system, Microsoft Office
• Be a self-starter, goal-orientated and a team player
