Tesla Charging

The availability of comfortable charging solutions is critical to the adoption of electric vehicles. Tesla has taken a lead role in building a true pan-European network with the coverage and capacity that truly offers freedom of travel at an ever growing rate.

It is extremely important to us and our mission that charging is convenient, abundant, and reliable for all owners, current and future. In order to provide customers a seamless experience we're constantly growing the Tesla charging network and expanding existing sites. We are also broadening our charging locations at highway locations, destinations, at home and at workplaces. Tesla provides a seamless, consistent charging experience across Europe, from the North Cape to Portugal, and from Ireland to Croatia.

The Role

Tesla is looking for an excellent Business Development Manager Charging for the CEE region that can autonomously drive all phases of our Tesla’s charging programs, including discovery, diligence, design, and closeout of projects. The ideal candidate will tirelessly create opportunities, adapt to external factors and internal guidance, manage multiple projects, and build and nurture relationships.

This role requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to the evolving needs of projects and the organization. There will be opportunities for career growth based on performance and interest.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Business Development

- Develop and manage pipeline of charging opportunities that will serve current and future Tesla customers in the CEE Region

- Analyze the existing network and new markets to plan and execute the delivery of the full lifecycle of charging

- Be responsible to review, evaluate and propose new business models connected to charging

Opportunity Identification

- Identify, solicit, actively reach out to and respond to potential leads to expand our charging programs, like Supercharger, Destination Charger or Home charging

- Draft and negotiate partnership agreements, working with relevant stakeholders to finalize contractual language. Negotiate win-win solutions and close deals

- Build and maintain relationships with key public and private stakeholders

Project Management

- Develop and refine proposals with property owners, grid operators, governmental bodies and other key partners

- Lead efforts to obtain all necessary approvals from grid operators and permitting authorities

- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to improve the roll out process, cost efficiency and timelines

Requirements

- Highly organized, able to project manage 20+ projects in various phases simultaneously

- Strong relationship management skills

- Autonomous approach to execution and achievement

- Self-motivated and outspoken about what is needed to get a job done

- Excellent communicator, able to persuade and impact people from a wide range of roles and backgrounds

- Ability to think from both the customer’s perspective and the site host’s perspective

- Proven track record of creating and nurturing strong relationships (e.g. from Retail, Real estate or equivalent B2B experience)

- Proven track record of developing, driving and closing business opportunities

- Fluent in German and English, another CEE region language is a plus

- Willingness to travel extensively
