Job Description

As a Getaround Autotech, your work will be showcased inside every car on Getaround. You'll be part of a team equipping cars with Getaround Connect®—our next generation device for telematics and in-car control through the Getaround app, enabling a seamless car sharing experience. We’re looking for someone passionate about automotive electronics who wants to push the envelope and help us turn every car into a connected car. You'll need a habit of working hard, a passion for new technology, in-depth knowledge of car electronics, and a desire to be part of a fast-paced startup. Attention to detail is paramount as well as an intrinsic ability to keep current with latest in-vehicle key technology, car electronics, vehicle immobilizers, and CANbus control adapters. What you’ll be doing

• Installing our next-generation Getaround Connect® device into cars.
• Designing Getaround Connect® installation processes and technology.
• Debugging and troubleshooting vehicle installations.
• Defining installation quality control processes and checklists.
• Providing top tier technical support for our nationwide network of certified installers.

What you’ll need

• Must have a valid driver's license
• 1 year of car installation experience (or an equivalent combination of related education and experience)
• 2+ years of driving experience with a clean driving record
• Experience with vehicle accessory installation that includes electrical accessories
• A smartphone with a built-in camera or an equivalent digital camera
• An ability to drive both automatic, manual, and performance cars
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize tasks
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt, and work well under pressure
• Strong work ethic and punctuality
• Strong presence with excellent verbal communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours and willingness to work weekends
• Must love to work on cars
• Mechanically inclined
