Job Purpose

The Gas Business Enablement (GBE) program is an innovative initiative designed to enable the National Grid’s US Gas team to “Bring Energy to Life.” This major long-term initiative’s goals are to improve customer satisfaction, accelerate business performance, enhance compliance, and enable employees to provide the best service they can by arming them with leading technology.

The GBE Change Management team is charged with helping to drive adoption of this new technology. This sophisticated team is focused on creating awareness through buy-in and commitment of the new tools and systems.

As part of the GBE Change Management team, our Change Management Program Manager will be a critical contributor. This role is perfect for a self-starter who has demonstrated strong people and analytical skills. This candidate will be providing support to the change team while honing his/her/their change management expertise.

The successful candidate will ideally have had previous experience of participating in large scale transformation programs. He/she/they will be highly articulate and confident to engage at all levels across the gas business and ensuring quality and timely delivery of the assigned work.

Key Accountabilities
  • Participate in stakeholder analysis to understand how to best engage those teams and customers impacted by the new technology
  • Assist Change Management Office team members to identify major changes with the new technology so that the team can design activities to help drive adoption, both internally and externally
  • Participate in training planning, design, and development for employees to ensure Go-Live success
  • Provide inputs into and craft key messaging by stakeholder group
  • Provide inputs into key adoption driving activities (i.e. Dress rehearsals)
  • Facilitate change management activities (i.e. Townhalls, roadshows) designed to inform and educate internal customers
  • Analyze data to understand employee and customer adoption
Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required
  • Skilled in contract and project management.
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications

Capability Requirements:

  • Strong organizational / Project Management skills with proven experience of delivering quality outcomes, on time and with full transparency of risks, issues and Assumptions
  • Ability to follow established processes to deliver quality outcomes, understanding hand-off and be able to suggest and apply improvements
  • Good business acumen with appreciation of the day to day business challenges of US Gas Business
  • Expert engagement and communication skills, with proven ability to create clear and concise messages for multitude of stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills able to build relationships quickly and to influence at all levels of the organization and the program
  • Strong People Management skills, able to drive a high performing team to not just deliver but to develop and grow
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics
  • Self-starter, able to work well with others, and on own initiative, to successfully drive through ambiguity keeping the customer at the heart
  • Ability to work in partnership with a number of consulting partners, and contractors maintaining and growing a ‘one team’ ethos mentality
  • Results driven yet self-aware with strong team collaboration skills
  • Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel

Knowledge & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience in change management is a plus
  • Industry expertise is a plus
  • Project / Program Management certification is a plus
  • Change Management Certification or relevant degree is a plus
